TECNOALCALÁ is a Science and Technology Park and, as such, a space dedicated to innovative businesses in sectors with a high measure of Research and Development.
Founded to favour the innovation process at said businesses and technology transfer from the University, it is a key element that allows relations between the academic, scientific and business worlds to be strengthened, as well as collaboration on joint projects and valuing scientific selection. In this way, it will be able to address business requirements.
Its mission is to aid a series of generic support infrastructures for innovation, offering quality land to set up innovative businesses and actively contributing to their creation, search and installation.
The Park is being developed on a 375,000 m2 plot located at the heart of Alcalá university campus where up to a total of 187,000 m2 may be built.
Promoters
It is a project being promoted by the Community of Madrid.
There is a stable management body to carry out the project: the Company ‘Parque Científico Tecnológico de la Univerdad de Alcalá, S.A.’ (PCTUA) whose board of directors comprises representatives from CM, the Universidad de Alcalá, the Ayuntamiento de Alcalá and the Asociación de Empresarios del Henares (AEDHE) . In addition, said body is in charge of promoting technology transfer and fomenting innovation between businesses and between the latter and the academic world.
